Our exploration team is led by Angelo Peri, Vice President of Exploration. The Exploration team also includes Francisco Armenta (GM Mexico), Ricardo Ardila (Senior Exploration Geologist - Chile ) and Alejandro, Palma (Geologist - Argentina).The team's combined experience totals more than 100 years.

Vice President of Exploration
Mr. Peri is a graduate of Universidad Catolica del Norte, Antofagasta, Chile, where he earned a degree in Geology. Mr Peri has over 20 years of mining experience in Chile and Peru. Prior to joining Coro he was Business Manager for CVRD Chile and prior to that was the General Manager Peru, & Exploration Manager, Chile for Phelps Dodge, and a Project Geologist for Cyprus Amax (Chile).

Senior Exploration Geologist (Chile)
Mr. Ardila is a graduate of the National University of Colombia (Geologist Engineer) and also holds a PhD in Science (Geology) from the University of Chile. Mr. Ardila has approximately 20 years of experience in exploring and evaluating copper deposits in Chile and Colombia. He has previously worked as a Senior and Project Geologist with Phelps Dodge, Cyprus Amax (Chile), Exploration CDE Chilean Mining Corp and Rio Tinto Mining (Chile).

Geologist (Argentina)
Mr. Palma is a graduate of National University of San Luis, Argentina. Mr Palma has 18 years of experience in mining and exploration work in Argentina. His expertise includes production and quality control, and Mr. Palma he was in charge of porphyry copper and epithermal systems project generation in the North-West and Patagonia region of Argentina for CRA and Rio Tinto.

General Manager (Mexico)
Mr. Armenta is a graduate of National Autonomy University of Mexico, Mexico. Mr. Armenta has more than 30 years of exploration experience principally in Mexico and Central America. Mr. Armenta was General Manager for Cyprus Amax Minerals in Mexico and has been associated with the discoveries of the Cumobabi porphyry molybdenum, Bismark skarn, and Milpillas copper porphyry deposits, all located in Mexico.

President, Chief Executive Officer and Director
A graduate of the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, University of London, Mr. Stephens has over 31 years of international mining experience. He has lived and worked extensively in Chile, Mexico and Brazil. Before co-founding Coro, Mr. Stephens was Vice-President of Exploration for First Quantum Minerals Ltd., and he spent ten years with Cyprus Amax Minerals Company managing exploration teams in Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia. He is a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists (US) and of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (UK). Mr. Stephens is also a qualified person for the purposes of NI 43-101.
